Simple Sundays: America's Pastime

Free tickets to a minor (very minor) league baseball game? Check. Gorgeous weather? Check. Awesome friends to go to the game with? Check. Today promises to be filled with nice, easy, summery leisure. It's days like today that make it easy to take a break from the stresses of life and just enjoy the moment, praising God for the luxury of relaxation.

Being Hopefully Devoted

I became a Christian the same year that I developed fibromyalgia. I was 7. Then, when I was 15, I felt God calling me to join a summer-long performing arts missions trip. It was on this trip that I experienced God and His provision and calling on my life for the first time. It is also the event that pushed my body and my disease to the breaking point. Since then, the things God has taught me about His character and about who I am in Him have been essential to my faith, my outlook on life, my self worth, and my journey through grad school and adulthood, giving me hope in all circumstances. I want to share the things I learn from God, to encourage others and to remind me of the good things He is doing.
